    TOTAL developing two new 80, 000p/d oil fields

    09 December 2017, Sweetcrude, Lagos — The international oil company, TOTAL is currently developing two new oil fields offshore Nigeria and in Angola, both calculated to produce 80, 000 barrels of crude oil per day.

    The projects located at Ikike field, in shallow waters of the Niger Delta, and Zinia phase 2 in deepwater Angola, will deliver 40, 000 per day each after 2019.

    The Ikike field is located in the eastern part of the Oil Mining Lease, OML 99, close to Amenam-Kpono field, while Zinia 2 is in Block 17.

    It will be connected to the Pazflor Floating Production Storage and Offloading, FPSO, vessel.

    Amenam-Kpono field in the Niger Delta which is 30 km offshore is in 40m of water and holding two concession areas, OML 99 operated by EPNL and OML 70 operated by Mobil Producing Nigeria Limited, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil, was started in 2013.

    TOTAL owns 40% share in the two projects.
