29 September 2011, Sweetcrude, Abuja – Total has awarded a $465 million contract for sealines for a project offshore Nigeria to Subsea 7.
The contract covers the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of sealines, a conventional project in what Subse 7 said was a “major shallow water development.”
Subsea 7 said it plans to start detailed engineering work on the project immediately while offshore installation woudl start in the third quarter of 2013.
The company plans to use its Acergy Polaris pipelay vessel, for the work, which will start after it completes work on Petrobras’ Sul-Norte Capixaba project off Brazil.
Acergy Polaris is scheduled to start its work off Brazil later this year.
