    Total Nigeria MD Cup begins November 10 in Lagos

    3 November 2011, Sweetcrude, Lagos – Staff of Total Nigeria will from November 10 leave their cozy air-conditioned offices and begin the search for honours as the second edition of the MD’s Cup kicks off at the Legacy Pitch of the National Stadium Lagos.

    There are four participating teams representing the head office, Western, Eastern and Northern territories. The competition which ends November 12 will be played in a league format. The first edition held at the Onikan Stadium in 2009 was won by the Northern territory

    A number of activities have been lined up for the final day. Organisers said a healthy Living Walk will commence from Total Nigeria head office in Victoria Island to Campos Mini Stadium and a novelty match will be preceded the grand finale.

    Managing director of the company Joshua Ogbimi said the competition was a demonstration of the company’s belief in encouraging healthy living among its staff.

    “It is at this end that we set out to strike a balance between work and life patterns as well as achieve enhanced productivity,” the he said.
