Lagos — The French oil company, Total, has partially resumed the export of Amenam crude grade, SweetcrudeReports has learned.
Sources close to the matter disclosed that although force majeure is still on, however, production at the Ofon oilfield where the grade is sourced, partially resumed in late April.
Total had in early April, declared force majeure on exports of Amenam for an unknown cause, after which some oil wells feeding exports were shut down.
The Amenam grade accounts for around 100,000 barrels per day exports.
The Amenam-Kpono field sits offshore blocks OML 99 and OML 70, about 30km off the eastern part of the Niger Delta.
