24 December 2018, News Wires — Liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports from the United States were pegged back during the week ending December 19, compared to the previous week.

Data from the United States Energy Information Administration shows that seven tankers with a combined LNG carrying capacity of 24.7 billion cubic feet departed the United States during the week under reviews.

Data shows that six of the seven vessels departed Cheniere’s Sabine Pass facility in Lousiana while one cargo left Dominion’s Cove Point export plant in Maryland.

EIA added that one tanker was loading at the Sabine Pass facility on December 19.

Earlier this week Houston-based LNG exporter Cheniere Energy signed an LNG deal with Malaysia’s Petronas for the supply of approximately 1.1 million tons per annum of LNG from Sabine Pass train six on a free on board basis for a term of 20 years.
