Lagos — The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPC, says the Warri Refinery in Ekpan, Warri, Delta State has resumed operations.
“We are taking you through our plant. This plant is running. Although it is not 100 per cent complete, we are still in the process. Many people think these things are not real. They think real things are not possible in this country. We want you to see that this is real,” NNPC Group Managing Director, Mele Kyari, said in a video posted by Channels Television on Monday.
He was speaking during a tour of the 49-year old facility, accompanied by the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, Farouk Ahmed, among others.
The tour, according to the NNPC Group Managing Director, was aimed at showing Nigerians the level of work so far achieved at the refinery.
