Port Harcourt — The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva, has been appointed and honoured as the grand ambassador for the Women in Energy Oil and Gas, WEOG.
Sylva got the appointment while playing host to the executive leadership of WEOG, in his office.
Speaking, the Minister said the roles which women are playing in building the economy and the vast innovations they bring, cannot be over emphasized.
Reacting to the appointment, the former Bayelsa State Governor said he was humbled to be honoured as the grand ambassador of the group.
“We cannot overemphasize the roles women are playing in building the economy and the vast innovations they bring.
“I was humbled, too, to be honoured as a Grand Ambassador of the group,” The Minister said.
