He said AEDC had metered about 150,000 customers so far and that it intended to roll out 500,000 meters at an average of 120,000 annual meter installation.
“It is rather unfortunate that the TCN will also turn round to blame the lingering outage in Lokoja on AEDC, when the actual reason for the outage was quite obvious.”
“We are determined to sustain and to illuminate major streets of the nation’s capital; the Council has engaged Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) to jointly make a road map towards resolving the issue of incessant power shortage in the Federal Capital City.”
The company also acknowledged the desire of the people of the State to have significant improvement in power supply, but emphasized that such increase in electricity supply must be matched by an equal level of payment to sustain the company.
He said that the project when completed would expand the scope of supply to the state for the people to have power from the national grid on a regular basis.
