Lagos –– Ikeja Electric, IE, has successfully concluded the 2024 Convocation Ceremony of the Ikeja Electric Safetainability School. The IE Safetainability School cross-pollinates Occupational Safety and Health, OSH, within sustainability practices to help expand the thinking of professionals and also provide a platform for global solutions through collaborative and innovative solutions that add value to the People, Planet and help achieve Prosperity. It is about Safe Thinking and Sustainable Living.
The 2024 academic session graduated 194 students, employees from the different Sahara Group subsidiaries, across diverse professions having gone through rigorous learning and Group Projects.
According to the Executive Director, Governance and Sustainability of the Sahara Group, who also doubles as the Director of School in the IE Safetainability School, Ejiro Gray, in today’s corporate world, the relevance of safe and sustainable practices cannot be overstated, and Sahara Group plays a key role in shaping an unimpeachable future of sustainability which it relentlessly strives for.
Mrs Folake, Soetan, the CEO of Ikeja Electric, and the School’s Vice Chancellor encouraged all staff within the Sahara Group Community to take advantage of this opportunity to project the culture of safety and sustainability.
