29 December 2015, Lokoja—The new General Manager, Corporate Services, Ajaokuta Steel Company, Kogi State, Engineer Thomas Otu, has called on Nigeria to rally round President Muhammadu Buhari in his quest at resuscitating the Ajaokuta Steel plant.

Otu made the call at Ogaminana, headquarters of Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi state during a reception organised by Ogaminana Community over his recent appointment.

Otu, who said the resuscitation of the Steel plant will not only be an avenue to generate jobs opportunities, but will serve to boost the revenue generation of the country.

“The current facelift at the Steel Company is the brain work and foresight of the sole administrator, Engineer Joseph Onobere, and he should be commended.

“But most of all, I urged well meaning people of Nigeria to support the President and the role of the sole administrator to realise the aim of resuscitating the plant,” he said.
