29 November 2018, Sweetcrude, Warri, Delta — Chevron Nigeria Limited has unveiled plans to deworm 45,000 children in Delta state this year.

The General Manager, Policy Government, and Public Affairs, PGPA, disclosed this in Warri, Delta state at a ceremony to flag off the exercise for school children.

He said Chevron focused on deworming children because of the effect of worm infestation, especially on children of school age, adding that it was assuming a frightening dimension.

With this program we are making provisions to deworm about 45,000 children between the ages of six and twelve “, he said

The Chairman of Warri south local government area, Dr. Michael Tidi thanked Chevron for the exercise, promising to support it with personnel

“We will be very willing to make our facilities and medical personnel available for the implementation of the deworming programme,” he said.
