Oil+rig13 February 2014, Lagos – CWC, organisers of the annual Nigeria Oil & Gas Conference & Exhibition, says it has been requested by the Federal Government to move this year’s edition of the event originally scheduled to hold from February 24 to 27 in Abuja.

In a release announcing the postponement  the organisation said: “It is with regret that we must inform you that CWC has been requested by the Federal Government to move Nigeria Oil & Gas Conference & Exhibition 2014 (NOG14) from its current dates of the 24-27 February, due to a clash with the recently confirmed Centenary Celebrations, to be hosted in Abuja by the Nigerian Government.

“The government is fully aware of how essential the event is to the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry and we continue to have the support of the Presidency, the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Ministry of Power, NNPC and other important parastatals.

“We currently have tentative dates for March and are working closely with the Government and Ministries to confirm these new dates by the end of this week”.

The release signed by Miss Rupi Kaur, Head of Client Services, said NOG 2014 “is still very much on course to be the biggest yet, and we look forward to welcoming you to Abuja for another successful event on the new dates”.
