    Egypt to offer 20 oil blocks

    29 December 2012, Sweetcrude, Cairo – Egyptian state-owned energy company Ganoub El Wadi Petroleum is set to offer 20 concessions for oil and gas exploration to international investors from 30 December.

    The deadline for bids is 30 May, the company said in an announcement in the government-owned Al Ahram newspaper, according to Bloomberg.

    The blocks are located in the Gulf of Suez, the Eastern and Western deserts and the Red Sea, it said.
