    Kaduna Electric sacks management staff, 140 others

    KEDCO or Kaduna Electric-Logo-696x39208 December 2016, Sweetcrude, Kaduna – Kaduna Electric has sacked its erstwhile Chief Corporate Services Officer, Temitope Owoeye and 140 other staff.

    Owoeye was handed his dismissal letter on Tuesday after a disciplinary committee instituted to investigate allegations of insubordination, indiscipline and gross misconduct leveled against him found him guilty of the offenses.

    A statement by the company made available to SweetcrudeReports, said the management, with the backing of the Board of Directors, took the decision to relieve Owoeye of his duties in order to forestall  a breach in its operations and disruption of the harmonious working relationship among staff.

    The statement signed by Head, Corporate Communication, Abdulazeez Abdullahi, added that the Management of Kaduna Electric also felt it necessary to affirm the fact that all staff who deliberately violate laid down company policies are made to face the consequences no matter who they are.

    The one hundred and forty (140) other staff were laid-off for academic qualifications’ racketeering.

    The statement quoted the Head, Human Resources of the Company, Mrs Khadijat D Kabir as saying that the affected workers committed offences ranging from presenting fake result, tampering with their grades to non-completion of approved courses.

    According to Mrs Khadijat D Kabir “the excises was painstakingly carried-out by a consultant engaged by the Company to ensure that all forms of examination frauds by any employee of the Company is fished out”.

    “Kaduna Electric is a responsible corporate brand, and shall leave no stone unturned to ensure that it workforce is only made up of people with integrity”, Mrs Khadijat Kabir contended.

    She advised the Company’s workers to imbibe the virtues of honesty, sincerity, truthfulness and moral uprightness in all their dealings.
