The workers reportedly died after an elevator in which they were travelling on the facility plunged 30 metres on Wednesday.
El Universal reported the fall took place at the ICA Fluordaniels yard, a joint venture between Mexico’s ICA Group and US player Fluor.
The newspaper identified the victims as Gerardo Javier Vazquez Espinosa, 21, Marco Antonio Garces Cervantes, 36 and Porfirio de Angel de Angel, 54, all of Pueblo Viejo, Veracruz.
Also identified were Miguel Angel Silva Borjas of Ciudad Madero and Juan Armando Moctezuma Meta Mena of Tampico.
Five of the workers are said to have died immediately with two others later pronounced dead in hospital.
An eighth worker is said to have been injured.
Russian media reported that the incident occurred at an unidentified yard in Veracruz state that builds platforms for state oil giant Pemex.
