TCN who confirmed the delivery on its official X handle said the new transformer, delivered yesterday was the third transformer delivered to the substation in recent times.
The Transmission Company recalled that 100MVA and 60MVA power transformers were earlier delivered, while the 100MVA transformer has already been commissioned.
“This attests to TCN’s relentless commitment to increasing its wheeling capacity to transmit more power to distribution load centres nationwide.
“The 100/110MVA transformer will add 80MW to the substation’s capacity when installed,” TCN tweeted.
