23 November 2012, Sweetcrude, BENIN CITY — THE Obi of Abavo kingdom in Delta State, HRM, Uche Irenuma 11, has warned the management of Pan Ocean Oil Corporation, not to cause crisis in the 56 oil producing communities in Delta North Senatorial District of the state by ensuring that the proposed flow station is sited in Obiayima community as earlier agreed.

In a letter addressed to the Managing Director of the company signed by the monarch, he expressed shock that despite the agreement reached with all the stakeholders in OPL275, that the flow station will be sited in Obiayima community “it is now being moved to Owa Alidinma, a neighboring community which has no oil and gas deposit”.

The letter explained that “removing the flow station from Obiayima a community with numerous oil wells to Owa Alidinma a community without a single drop of oil is still very difficult to believe.”
