01 January 2016, Lagos — The Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, on Thursday disclosed that fourteen ships laden with petroleum products and general cargoes have arrived and waiting to berth at the Lagos ports.
The NPA, in its daily publication, Shipping Position said that nine of the ships arrived with petrol, while others sailed in with base oil, bulk gas, aviation fuel, general cargoes and containers.
According to the document, NPA expects 34 ships to sail into the ports from Dec. 31, 2015 to Jan. 18, 2016.
It said that 15 of the expected ships would arrive with containers, while three others would bring general cargoes.
NPA said that six ships would sail in with frozen fish, buckwheat and rice, adding that the remaining 10 ships would arrive with petrol.
