    NIMASA fires Akpobolokemi recruits

    Kunle Kalejaye 24 September 2015, Sweetcrude, Lagos – The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, has disengaged three persons who were found to have been illegally employed by former Director General, Ziakede Patrict Akpobolokemi, into the agency.

    An administrative investigation conducted by the agency revealed that the employment of the three officers was characterised by irregularities.

    As at press time, the names of the three disengaged persons are yet to be disclosed.

    Their disengagement came few days after NIMASA announced that the Federal Government, through the Federal Ministry of Transport has commenced a review of employment, placements and promotions at the agency since 2010.
