Port Harcourt — NNPC Gas & Power Investment Services, NGPIS, has secured the International Organisation for Standardisation, ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification, strengthening its drive for operational excellence and positioning the company for greater competitiveness in Nigeria’s energy industry.

The certification, awarded by the British Standards Institution, BSI, recognises NGPIS’ commitment to quality service delivery, internationally accepted management systems and sustainable business performance.

The ISO certificate was presented to the Executive Vice President, Gas, Power and New Energy, NNPC Limited, Mr. Olalekan Ogunleye, by a delegation from NGPIS led by the company’s Head of Planning and Commercial, Mr. Ayuba Rabo, at the NNPC Towers in Abuja.

According to the company, the certification followed an implementation process that began in December 2024 and involved internal and external audits, process standardisation and the development of a comprehensive quality management system.

The exercise was coordinated by the Quality Management System team led by Mr. Okeoghene Esugo, whose efforts, the company said, were instrumental to achieving the certification.

With the ISO 9001:2015 certification, NGPIS said it has aligned its quality management system with international best practices, enhancing its ability to deliver improved services and greater customer satisfaction.

The company noted that the certification also strengthens its position as an internationally recognised organisation capable of competing more effectively within the global energy industry while supporting NNPC Limited’s strategic objectives in the gas and power sector.
