Port Harcourt — The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPC Ltd, has cautioned members of the public against falling victim to fraudulent recruitment schemes, declaring that it is not currently conducting any employment exercise.

In a brief public notice titled “Scam Alert!”, the national oil company said reports circulating about ongoing recruitment are false and misleading.

“The general public is hereby informed that NNPC Limited is not recruiting,” the company stated.

NNPC Ltd emphasised that any legitimate hiring process would only be announced through its official website and verified social media platforms, urging Nigerians to disregard unofficial sources.

“Hiring announcements will be made on our official website and verified social media handles,” the statement added.

The company advised job seekers to remain vigilant and avoid engaging individuals or platforms demanding payment or personal information in the name of recruitment, as such activities are fraudulent.
