14 August 2013, News Wires – Norway saw a significant increase in oil and gas production in July, according to figures released Wednesday by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.
The NPD reported that the country saw an average daily production of approximately 1,959,000 barrels of oil, natural gas liquids and condensate during the month – about 15 percent more than in June. Total gas production was around 9.2 billion cubic meters – 11 percent greater than in June.
Production had been reduced at several fields during July due to technical problems. These fields included Oseberg, Skuld, Ula, Valhall and Vigdis. But the NPD pointed out that improved production at several other fields led the total production for the month being the highest since May 2012.
