24 January 2018, Sweetcrude, Lagos – The Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, has expressed the desire to partner the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, KADCCIMA, towards achieving economic growth.
NPA’s Managing Director, Ms. Hadiza Bala Usman, gave the assurance while receiving a delegation from the Chamber on a visit to the NPA corporate headquarters on Marina, Lagos.
A statement by Abdullahi A.Goje, General Manager, Corporate and Strategic Communications, said Usman assured the delegation that the NPA will fully participate in the forthcoming 39th Kaduna International Trade Fair being organised by KADCCIMA and which is scheduled to hold from February 23 to March 4, 2018.
The managing director, who commended the organisers for the giant strides the fair had taken over the years, particularly noted the relevance of this year’s fair theme which is, “Promoting Commerce, Industry and Agriculture as a compliment to the efforts of the Federal Government towards revamping the economy by encouraging investments in Agriculture, Manufacturing, Trade, Services and Technologies”.
The delegation was received by the Assistant General Manager, Corporate and Strategic Communications, Isah Suwaid, on behalf of the General Manager of the Division, Abdullahi Goje.
Earlier, the President of KADCCIMA, Dr. Muheebat Dankaka, solicited the cooperation of and improved synergy with the NPA management towards the overall success of the trade fair.
According to her, this year’s event which is the 39th in the series is to further create an avenue through which investors from various parts of the country and beyond would exhibit their goods and services for the growth of the nation’s economy.
She explained that the event would witness, amongst others, a business roundtable with the theme, “Promoting Made in Nigerian Products for International Competitiveness”, quiz competition amongst students in the senior secondary sschool level as well as a seminar under the theme of the trade fair.
