Port Harcourt — Top oil industry executives, ministers, lawmakers, and key stakeholders are confirmed to attend the 2024 Practical Nigerian Content, PNC Conference and Exhibition in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, in December.
The 13th edition of the annual event, organized by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB, in partnership with DMG Events, will focus on the theme “Deepening the Next Frontier for Nigerian Content Implementation.”
The conference, according to NCDMB, will bring together influential figures from the oil and gas sector to discuss strategies for advancing local content development in Nigeria.
The event will kick off on Monday, December 2, with a golf tournament at the Henry Seriake Golf and Country Club, followed by a welcome reception hosted by Coleman Wires and Cables.
The formal conference will begin on Tuesday, December 3, with opening speeches from the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, and other high-profile officials, including the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, and the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo.
Discussions during the conference will cover critical topics such as “The Next Frontier for Nigerian Content: Divestments and Offshore Opportunities,” and “Evaluating Financial Strategies for Increased Local Content Implementation.”
Industry leaders, including executives from Chevron, TotalEnergies, and Oando PLC, will participate in panel discussions on these and other topical issues.
In addition to the conference sessions, the event will feature an exhibition showcasing projects and innovations from both international and indigenous oil and gas companies.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to attend gala dinners hosted by the Bayelsa State Government and Nigeria LNG Ltd, as well as a site visit to the logistics base of First Marine and Engineering Services Ltd.
The conference is expected to be a major platform for driving the next phase of local content growth in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
