Port Harcourt — Electricity supply has been disrupted across several parts of Port Harcourt following a technical fault at the Omoku Generating Station, the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company has announced.

In a notice to customers dated, the distribution company said the outage was caused by a breaker fault, which has impacted key feeders including Greater Port Harcourt, Rukpokwu, UPTH, NTA, and Rumuepirikom.

“This is to notify our esteemed customers that there is a breaker fault at Omoku Generating Station,” the statement read.

The company assured residents that its maintenance team is actively working to resolve the issue and restore power supply.

“We appeal to our customers to exercise patience as the maintenance team is currently working to rectify the fault and restore power as soon as possible,” it added.

The outage has affected homes, businesses, and critical facilities in the impacted areas, highlighting ongoing challenges in Nigeria’s power infrastructure.

The distribution company expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to customers.
