    Organisers postpone ‘Practical Nigerian Content’

18 October 2012, Sweetcrude, London – The Practical Nigerian Content Conference, due to be held in Yenagoa on October 23-25th has been postponed.
As you may be aware, Bayelsa State and Yenagoa in particular are currently suffering from severe flooding that has caused much damage to local communities and displaced hundreds of people.
We have been monitoring the events in the region and following consultation with the Bayelsa State Government and the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board in Yenagoa, we have decided that as a result of the current situation, it is neither feasible nor appropriate for this event to go ahead next week.
We have therefore decided to postpone this event as our main concern must be for the safety of delegates and the communities that have been impacted. We are now hoping to hold the Practical Nigerian Content Conference on 20-22 November 2012.
Please note that these dates are tentative and we will endeavour to confirm these within the next three weeks. Our thoughts are with the local communities impacted by the flooding.
