22 January 2013, Sweetcrude, Abuja – The management of the Abuja Distribution Company, DISCO, of Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, on Monday said it has introduced mobile recharge of the Prepayment Metres.

Mr Yahaya Komo, the Principal Manager, Procurement, Abuja DISCO, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja.
“There are some problems faced by customers of PHCN using credit cards to recharge their prepayment metres.

“Administrative problems arise due to non-availability of the cards,’’ he said.

Komo listed Otis Carpets, Wuse 2, British village, Wuse 2, and Airport/Lugbe Office of PHCN as points in Abuja city for customers to recharge their metres.

He said that customers in Mararaba and Nyanya should buy credits at Nyanaya Area `A’ Extension, Karu PHCN Service Centre, Jikwoyi/Orozo PHCN Office, Aso Fada and Nyanaya Power Plaza.

He stressed that the vending and use of cell phone to recharge prepayment metres had no limitation on the amount of money a customer could recharge as against the use of credit cards.

“With this mobile phone system, customers can recharge from any part of the country as done in the U. S. Britain or Canada.’’

Komo assured customers that the challenge of reloading credits would be eliminated by this new measure.
