24 October 2012, Sweetcrude, LAGOS – OIL and gas industry experts will be gathering in Lagos next week at a workshop on the Petroleum Industry Bill, PIB, aimed at x-raying the implications of passage of the Bill for investment and growth in the oil and gas sector.

The Bill seeking to overhaul the Nigerian oil industry represents a key test of whether Nigeria, Africa’s top crude producer, is committed to transparency in the energy sector.

The one-day workshop, being organised by Ernst & Young Nigeria will hold on November 1 and has as theme, ‘The Petroleum Industry Bill: Implications for Investment and Growth in the Nigeria Oil and Gas Industry’.

The workshop will feature technical paper presentations by experts on various aspects of the Bill.
