03 May 2015, News Wires – Repsol has made a gas discovery at a block in southern Bolivia where it is partnered by UK player BG Group.
The Spanish major hit gas pay at the Margarita 7ST well on the Margarita-Huacaya block in the Caipipendi area, it said.
Repsol did not say how much gas was found at the well, or in what intervals the discovery was made.
It said, however, that investment in phase three of the Margarita-Huacaya development is set to reach $293 million by 2018.
Repsol operates the block on 37.5%, the same stake as held by BG. Pan American Energy (PAE) holds the remaining 25%.
