Seoul — South Korea’s Hanwha Total Petrochemical Co Ltd restarted its naphtha cracker earlier this week after maintenance was completed, its spokesman said on Wednesday.
The 1 million-tonnes-per-year cracker in the southwestern city of Daesan was shut late-March for maintenance.
The cracker’s capacity for 2019 will be raised by at least 30% to 1.31 million tonnes per year.
