10 May 2018, Sweetcrude, Warri, Delta state — The Senate committee on oil and gas has embarked on the assessment of realities in oil communities in Warri south-west local government area, Delta state.
Chairman of the Senate committee, Senator Omotayo Alasoadura said the tour of the communities was to avail the committee with the necessary information to enrich the PIB debate before its passage into law.
He said the visit would also guide the Senate as it discusses Community the compensation act of the PIB.
