06 February 2012, Sweetcrude, LAGOS — The Western Zone of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), weekend, directed its members to prevent officials from the national body from collecting any form of levy and money at all depots in the South-West zones, pending when the N10.9 billion collected from subsidy on IPMAN Investment Limited was accounted for.

In a statement by its chairman, Mr Olumide Ogunmade, at the end of a stakeholders’ forum in Ibadan, Oyo State, the zonal office of IPMAN directed its members to, henceforth, discontinue the remittance of their dues and levies to the national purse, until a proper account was given of all products and money collected from Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on subsidy.

At the meeting which was attended by members of Petroleum Tanker Drivers of NUPENG and Independent Marketers Branch of NUPENG, Ogunmade said the five zones which make up the Western zone will no longer recognise all national coordinators until the N10.9 billion collected from subsidy on IPMAN Investment Limited was accountable for.
