On his country’s investment in Nigeria’s energy development, he stated that, “We are doing a lot on the energy front. Much of these are through President Obama’s Power Africa Initiative.
Through that we are trying to help power generating (Gencos) and distribution companies (Discos) privatize and get in business.”
“Our Power Africa Initiative is aimed at strengthening the energy sector, where shortage in electricity has frustrated the population and impeded growth,” the US Secretary of State said.
