Tanzania to host Oil and Gas Suppliers Conference

23 May 2013, Dar Es Salaam – Tanzania is to host its first ever Oil and Gas Suppliers Conference, TOGSC, in late July, aimed at addressing issues pertaining to the value chain.
According to a statement issued by the organisers of the event, the conference and exhibition will bring together key players from the value chain, together with stakeholders from the government and the oil and gas industry.
They will discuss and engage on different opportunities and challenges within the East Africa Scenario, particularly Tanzania.
“Within this new burgeoning oil and gas industry, there is need to bridge the gap of the value chain between suppliers/service providers and oil and gas industry stakeholders,” stated Mr Washington Benbella, the organiser of the event.
Mr Benbella said the conference is a strategic event that has come at the right time considering the recent large and world class deposits of oil and gas in Mtwara and Lindi, with potential for more to be discovered.
TOGSC will be held on the 25th and 26th of July in Dar es Salaam at Hyatt Regency, with more than 250 delegates expected to attend.
