Port Harcourt — The Port Harcourt Region of the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, has taken delivery of a 150MVA/330 electricity transformer and accessories at its 132/33kV Adiabo Transmission substation.

TCN who confirmed the delivery on its official X handle disclosed that the new transformer, delivered few days ago, was a project under the Service Level Agreement, SLA, a joint initiative of TCN and discos to mitigate service shortfalls.

The Transmission Company further said the new transformer will increase the installed capacity of Adiabo substation to 240 megawatts, increasing available bulk power for Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, PHED, to offtake to customers within Calabar metropolis.

“This attests to TCN’s relentless commitment to increasing its wheeling capacity to transmit more power to distribution load centres nationwide,” TCN tweeted.
