Port Harcourt — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has hailed the Chairman of the Board of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, Ahmadu Musa Kida, on his 65th birthday, describing him as a seasoned oil industry professional whose career has helped shape Nigeria’s petroleum sector.

In a congratulatory message to mark Kida’s 65th birthday, President Tinubu praised his long-standing contributions across both the public and private sectors, as well as his engagement in professional basketball administration.

The President recalled that Kida began his career in the Nigerian oil industry in 1985 with Elf Petroleum Nigeria Limited, now TotalEnergies, where he distinguished himself as an outstanding professional and played a role in the growth of the sector.

Tinubu also acknowledged Kida’s current responsibilities as Chairman of the NNPC Limited Board, noting that his leadership has been instrumental to ongoing efforts to reposition the national oil company and improve revenue performance in line with the Federal Government’s reform agenda.

The President urged the NNPC board chairman to remain committed to national service and continue supporting the transformation of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.

President Tinubu wished Musa Kida many more fulfilling years, commending his dedication to the country and his contributions to the energy sector.
