Houston — U.S. offshore oil producers restarted 4% of the production shut by Tropical Storm Barry last week, according to a report on Monday by the U.S. Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE).
A total of 69%, or 1.3 million barrels per day (bpd), of oil production in the U.S.-regulated areas of the Gulf of Mexico remained shut on Monday, 4% less than on Sunday, according to BSEE.
