26 December 2018, Sweetcrude, Port Harcourt — The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, PHED, says it has made adequate plans to ensure that her customers in Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River and Rivers states enjoy the yuletide season with uninterrupted power supply.
Chief Executive Officer of PHED, Mr. Naveen Kapoor, at a strategic meeting held with the staff members in Port Harcourt, charged all customer-interfacing staff to be extremely dedicated with a view to achieving customers’ satisfaction especially during the yuletide season of celebration.
Kapoor said a 24-hour technical surveillance team has been put on stand-by to ensure that the service lines are completely free from faults.
The CEO also assured that in the event of faults occurring, it would be promptly cleared.
“Customers are urged to report any fault that would impede them from not getting supply to the nearest PHED office or call the 24/7 centre 0700CALLPHED, [070022557433] for the immediate resolution that would subsequently lead to the restoration of power supply to their area.
“We are not leaving any stone unturned during this yuletide season. We want to ensure that our customers celebrate it with supply and that’s why we strategically dedicated the technical team for prompt fault resolution,” he said.
The PHED boss, however, urged customers to reciprocate the company’s kind gesture by ensuring that their electricity bills are settled before traveling out of their resident.
This, he said would encourage PHED to do more in terms of network expansion and provision of electrical materials, among others.
“Customers can pay at their comfort of homes when they log on to www.phed.com.ng; click on payment icon for online vending and you can also dial *322*1*86001*Amount# and send for post-paid customers,” he said.
