    Angola Energy Minister in Telaviv for conference on hydraulic structures

    23 October 2013, Luanda – The Angolan minister of Energy and Water, João Baptista Borges, is attending since Tuesday an international conference and fair on hydraulic infrastructures in Telaviv, Israel.

    The information is contained in a press release from the Ministry of Energy and Water that reached Angop on Tuesday in Luanda.

    According to the note, the event will be going until October 25, having the minister learned of the functioning of Israel’s national water company (Mekorot) and of the residual water treatment station for agriculture and human consumption.

    On Wednesday, the minister and the delegation he leads are visiting the Israel national electricity company, where the team will witness a presentation of the power station, its operation and maintenance.

    Later today (Wednesday), the Angolan delegation will be visiting the combined cycle units and the coal-propelled power station, the source adds.

    Minister João Baptista Borges is accompanied in the trip by high ranking officials of his department and of the Luanda Water Company (EPAL).
