04 March 2013, Cairo – The Egyptian government has retained an emergency in the power sector to ensure optimum power out to meet national demand.
To this effect, the Ministry of Electricity and Energy announced at the weekend it was maintaining the state of emergency in all electricity projects nationwide to face all emergency circumstances that the country is going through now and increase the number of diesel generators in public squares to provide electricity at the time of need.
The ministry has, meanwhile, allocated hotline No. 121 to receive any complaints of power cuts.
