    IPMAN ex-vice chair makes case for PIB

    Petrol-queue at an IPMAN station14 August 2014, Benin – Former National Vice President of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, Elder Peter Ogbeide, has called on the Federal Government to expedite action on the passage of the Petroleum Industry Bill into law to enable IPMAN and other stakeholders benefit from the upstream sector of the petroleum industry.

    Ogbeide, who also tasked President Goodluck Jonathan on the implementation of the 18 percent derivation formula for direct benefit of host communities, commended the President for the convocation of the national conference.
    Ogbeide, who addressed journalists in Benin, Edo State, yesterday, called on relevant IPMAN stakeholders to sheath their swords and join the transformation train of the association under Elder Chinedu Okoronkwo.

    Describing Okoronkwo “as the best gift” to IPMAN, Ogbeide listed some of his achievements to include proposed establishment of Petrol Chemical Refineries in Kogi and Bayelsa States, flag off of 1,000 housing scheme for IPMAN members and the erection of IPMAN secretariat in Abuja.
