Lagos — The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, MOI, and the Nigerian Immigration Service, NIS, has inaugurated a tripartite committee aimed at enhancing regulatory compliance, streamlining processes, and improving security and operational efficiency within the oil and gas industry.

The inauguration meeting was chaired by Alhaji Abdulmalik Halilu, Director of Corporate Services at NCDMB. Other key members include OGA-Okwoche Paul, representing the Ministry of Interior, and DCI O.G. Oloruntoba, representing the Nigerian Immigration Service.

During the session, the committee adopted its Terms of Reference, which outline strategic objectives such as the development of a Digital Application Programming Interface, DAPI, harmonization of procedures for issuing Temporary Work Permits and Expatriate Quotas, and the establishment of Key Performance Indicators, KPIs. These measures are designed to ensure efficiency, transparency, and accountability in managing expatriate operations within the sector.

The committee also emphasized the importance of stakeholder sensitization and regular progress reporting to foster collaboration and maintain clear communication throughout the implementation process.

This initiative represents a significant step toward achieving a more secure, compliant, and streamlined operational environment in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
