Port Harcourt — The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB, has assured of continuous assistance to the Oil and Gas Trainers Association of Nigeria, OGTAN, in working efficiently in the industry.
Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Engr. Simbi Kesiye Wabote, gave the assurance when the management team of OGTAN led by its Chairman, Mazi Sam Azoka Onyechi, visited the Board’s Headquarters in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Wabote urged OGTAN to run a viable website to market and showcase their services and accomplishments in order to re-energize the organisation.
Earlier, Chairman of OGTAN, Mazi Sam Azoka Onyechi said that the purpose of the visit is to intimate NCDMB on what the Association has been doing over the years and also to introduce some of the new management team of OGTAN to the Board.
Onyechi listed OGTAN’s achievements over the years to include, “authorized digital literacy, published OGTAN digest, deepened OGTAN relationship with NCDMB, fostered and deepened local & regional collaboration with stakeholders, conducted several public lectures on human capacity development subject matters.”
Others are, “Commenced quality management system certification of OGTAN, initiated the OGTAN body of knowledge, deepened collaboration with IOC’s & LOC, created and operationalized OGTAN professionals’ forum, carried out a HCD growth oriented OGTAN national awards event, commenced and completed a constitutional review.”
