Port Harcourt — The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB, has restated that the Industrial Training Fund, ITF, Compliance Certificate remains a mandatory requirement for all contractors and vendors doing business with the Board.
This was emphasised when the NCDMB’s Capacity Building Directorate received a delegation from the ITF Yenagoa Area Office, led by its new Area Manager, Mr. Uzogbe Hope, at the Nigerian Content Tower, in Swali, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Receiving the visitors, NCDMB General Manager, Human Capital Development, Mr. Esueme Dan Kikile, stressed that compliance with ITF certification is non-negotiable and anchored in the Bureau for Public Procurement, BPP, framework.
“The ITF Compliance Certificate remains mandatory for all contractors and vendors with the Board,” Kikile declared.
“NCDMB delivers two forms of training: project-based programmes that close industry gaps, and intervention programmes that equip youths with self-reliance skills.”
The ITF delegation also used the visit to formally present NCDMB with the “Best in Training Contribution 2023” award within the Yenagoa Area Office’s jurisdiction, in recognition of the Board’s outstanding commitment to human capital development.
According to Kikile, the Board’s interventions remain key in building capacity for Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, while ensuring that indigenous companies are positioned to compete globally.
“NCDMB is always open to partnerships that enhance human capacity and strengthen Nigeria’s oil and gas industry,” he added.
The engagement featured an interactive Q&A session, during which NCDMB officials reiterated that ITF certification is compulsory for all contractors.
In his remarks, ITF Area Manager, Uzogbe Hope, commended the Board’s leadership in advancing training initiatives and pledged closer cooperation at both state and national levels.
Both agencies agreed to deepen collaboration in training, certification, and institutional strengthening, reinforcing their shared mandate of developing Nigeria’s human capital base.
