A statement by Comrade Joe Ajaero, General Secretary of the union claimed the report was not false but was borne out of prejudice since the result .

Ajaero said in the statement that the report was pre-emptive since the result of the verification exercise on PHCN human resources (HR) was still on.

According to him, the consultant verifying all employees in the power sector is expected to conclude its work and make its submissions to relevant stakeholders on March 14, 2012.

Ajaero asserted that about 34,023 members of staff have been captured and cleared while about 4,000 are yet to be cleared due to reasons of typographical errors, wrong staff numbers among others.
