Lagos — Tetracore Energy Group Limited, an integrated energy solutions provider with a growing portfolio in natural gas and power delivery has successfully commissioned Phase 2 of its AutoGas Compressed Natural Gas, CNG, supply network. This achievement was realized through a strategic partnership with Dangote Cement Plc.

As part of the expansion, Tetracore commissioned a mobile AutoGas refuelling unit at the Dangote Cement Plant in Ibese, Ogun State. This deployment marks a continuation of both companies’ commitment to accelerating clean energy adoption across Nigeria’s industrial and transportation sectors.

The newly commissioned mobile unit can deliver up to 50,000 standard cubic meters per day of AutoGas, supplementing the 25,000 standard cubic meters per day capacity already provided by Tetracore’s CNG Mother Station in Atakabo, Ogun State.

Together, these facilities are helping to meet the rising demand for compressed natural gas as a cleaner, more sustainable alternative to conventional fuels.

Tetracore is also supplying AutoGas to Dangote Group’s new fleet of CNG-powered trucks to be deployed nationwide. This supply supports Dangote’s plan to roll out up to 10,000 CNG trucks annually, with fuel provided directly at the port.

By facilitating direct refueling at port locations, Tetracore is driving the shift toward cleaner transportation solutions in Nigeria while bolstering its leadership in the energy sector and contributing to the sustainability goals of one of Africa’s largest conglomerates.

According to Masud Akajewole, Project Team Lead, Tetracore Energy Group, this commissioning represents more than just an infrastructure upgrade. “It is a reaffirmation of our strategic intent to support Nigeria’s gas utilisation projects while offering practical, innovative solutions that bridge energy gaps for industrial and transport players,” he said.

Importantly, this development aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and supports national CNG initiatives aimed at promoting gas utilization, lowering carbon emissions, enhancing energy accessibility, and advancing the transition to sustainable energy sources.

Through this initiative, Tetracore is playing a central role in shaping Nigeria’s energy future by fostering the adoption of cleaner fuels across logistics and industrial operations.

Tetracore’s broader CNG supply network is designed to deliver up to 400,000 standard cubic meters per day of compressed natural gas daily. This capacity is intended to meet the growing energy needs of Dangote’s logistics operations and other AutoGas users across the region, thereby accelerating the nationwide adoption of CNG for transportation.

To enhance flexibility and accessibility, Tetracore has also deployed an additional 50,000 standard cubic meters per day mobile CNG refueling unit at the Dangote Cement Plant. These mobile solutions are designed to offer seamless and scalable refueling capabilities in locations where permanent infrastructure is not yet established, ensuring continuous, reliable access to clean energy.

With plans to deploy additional mobile units across the country, Tetracore’s expanding AutoGas network is not only solving logistical fuel delivery challenges but also pioneering a modular, agile approach to energy access throughout Nigeria.

The strategic collaboration between Tetracore and Dangote Cement marks a significant step towards advancing national sustainability goals.
