Lagos — Trelleborg will exhibit its innovative cable protection system, NjordGuard™, at the Global Offshore Wind exhibition that takes place from 25 to 26 June at the ExCeL center in London.

Dan Bate, Sales Manager for the Trelleborg Applied Technologies operation, states: “With over 30 years of experience and track-record as subsea polymer engineering experts, we take pride in our engineering capabilities and approach to offshore wind cable protection systems for both floating and fixed foundations.”

One of the ways that Trelleborg has contributed to solving offshore wind challenges for its customers is in the development of NjordGuard™. This is an integrated cable protection system designed and developed to protect offshore windfarm power cables in wind turbine generators and offshore substation platforms. Easily assembled on a vessel to allow speedy installation, it’s highly abrasion resistant API 17L certified Uraduct® material enables the protection system to travel over the seabed without damage, extending cable life. Most importantly, it facilitates easier installation, reuse, and removal without diver and ROV intervention, optimizing efficiency and maximizing safety.

Global Offshore Wind 2019 is the premier offshore wind event in the world’s largest offshore wind market. Trelleborg will be present on stand 167.
