29 September 2017, Sweetcrude, Lagos —Con Oil’s facility in the Niger Delta has gone up in flames.
According to information reaching SweetcrudeReports, the facility christened Aunty Julie, located on the high sea offshore Sangana in the Akassa clan of Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, went up in flames at about 3:00 am today Friday.
Eyewitnesses say the fire is still on as assistance is being awaited from Chevron’s fire-fighters not far from the location.
One person was reported to have sustained injuries and has been treated at the Sangana Cottage Hospital.
The actual cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
