    Petrol price increased by 0.3% in July – NBS

    31 August 2017, Sweetcrude, Lagos – Average price paid by consumers for Premium Motor Spirit, PMS – more popularly known as petrol – increased by an average of 0.3 percent year-on-year in July, according to the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS.

    According to data obtained from the company on Wednesday, average price of PMS decreased by -14 percent month-on-month to N148.2 per litre in July from N150.3 in June.

    It listed states with the highest average price of PMS per litre as Yobe with N170; Borno, N160.50 and Adamawa, N160.

    States with the lowest average price were Bauchi, N145.4; Lagos, N145.3; and Abuja, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Ekiti, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Sokoto, all with N145.
