14 August 2013, Cairo – The electricity and energy sector would offer new projects, early next month, to the private sector for investing in solar energy, according to Egypt state Information Service.
This came after offering Kom Ombo Solar Power Project to investors late last July, as the new and renewable energy sector experts seem bent on defining the best areas for the implementation of the solar plan slated for late 2027 to add 350 megawatts to the national grid’s capabilities.
Minister of Electricity Ahmed Imam said that the sector’s plan seeks to achieve the rate of 20% of the total production of electricity energy production by 2027 through using the new and renewable energy.
